Healing of the Soul
My journey as a Licensed Massage Therapist has been one of the most eye opening experiences I have had around the need for true soul care and restoration. While I have worked on the body and have witnessed stored trauma, grief, pain and suffering leave as I have worked, there was still more that could be done. In fact, I had seen in others and experienced myself true healing of the soul (mind, will, emotions).
These two worlds collided as the Lord was simultaneously teaching and training me up to minster to people’s hearts at the same time. I began to serve weekly in this area in my local church because the need was so great. Massage and heart healing have overlapped on the treatment table countless times. Although, I wasn’t openly sharing about this with my massage clients, it always somehow came up. They began to ask me if I would spend sometime with them because they were experiencing pain in their souls they just couldn’t break free from despite their best efforts. I was paying attention to the pattern.
Then one day, the Lord spoke to me about being a resource to the Body of Christ in this hour. Many are connected to local churches yet they struggle to find the help they are seeking. While there can be a wide range of reasons for this, I asked the Lord what MY responsibility is right now to what I see and the places I am called to. Many Massage Therapists are trained in New Age practices in order to ease pain within someone’s soul. These modalities consist of things like reiki, chakra balancing, quantum, pranic or crystal healing and the like. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I do not partake in these works. Rather, I walk in the ministry outlined in Isaiah 61:1-4. These scriptures speak of the ministry of Jesus to bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom to the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. This aspect of my practice is centered on the issues within the soul that keep us sick and often lead to disease and dysfunction in the Body. They cannot be separated.
My mission is to partner with the one true living God and facilitate His healing power to each person that desires true and everlasting freedom. Jesus has established Formed Bodywork and He continues to transform it as He desires. I am merely a vessel in the hands of my powerful, loving, merciful and gracious God. It is my honor to expand my practice in this way and serve God’s people as He desires.
F.A.Q.
-All sessions are conducted via Zoom. Initial sessions are 3 hours in length. Heart healing is a major component in wholeness. This gives us ample time to allow the Holy Spirit to address areas He desires for you on that particular day. We always honor your personal capacity and leave room for the session to conclude earlier. If any follow up sessions are warranted/desired we will discuss at that time and schedule accordingly.
-I sometimes will have additional team members with me. Some of them I minister regularly with and others are being trained up. These individuals I personally know and have established the understanding that this is a high trust space. Nothing that occurs during the session will leave the session.
-The suggested donation is due upon the scheduling the session. If for any reason you cannot afford this, please reach out to me via the contact page to discuss.
-A waiver and intake form are required to be completed one week before your scheduled session. This way, myself and/or my team have time to prepare and pray before your session. This also opens the session time up for someone else if you cannot make it. You can locate the intake form and waiver under the tab on the website.
